Kenneth Taggart, 79, of Freeport, IL, passed away on August 26, 2020 at home. He was born on April 26, 1941 in Freeport to Leonard "Red" and Dorothy (Brick) Taggart. He worked for Rockford Blacktop.

Survivors include his daughter, Penny (Dan) Taggart; sons: Joey Taggart and Kenny (Lisa) Taggart; sisters: Pat Notter and Joyce Dickman; brother, Bucky (Evelyn) Taggart; 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Joy Taggart; grandson Tyler Taggart, and great-grandson Klay Heister.

A visitation will be held Tuesday September 1, 2020, from 10 AM to 12 noon, at the Schwarz Park Blvd. Chapel, 608 S. Park Blvd. in Freeport, IL. A memorial service will be held afterwards at 12:30 PM, at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport, with Chaplain Sean Huguenin officiating.
