Keith E. Kness, 83, of Kent, IL, passed away December 15, 2021. He was born October 6, 1938, in Freeport, IL to Ralph and Cecil (Glenn) Kness. He graduated from Pearl City High School in 1956. After graduating, he worked at Micro Switch for 11 years and then he retired from Kelly Springfield after 30 years. April 12, 1957, he married his High School sweetheart Doris Fischer. He enjoyed living in the country and helping on the Donald Wingert family farm. He also enjoyed working with his grandson Jake at Lena Cemetery. Keith and his wife enjoyed going to their grandchildren and great grandchildren's sporting events and holiday gatherings. Keith and his wife traveled to many states. Most of all, they enjoyed going to Branson, MO and the Wisconsin Dells with their friends and family. He liked going fishing for salmon on Lake Michigan with Harley. Keith was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Pearl City.

Keith is survived by his wife Doris, sons: Steven (Nancy), Rodney (Alissa) of Freeport, IL, and Jeffrey (Amy) of Durand, IL; daughter Kathy (Greg/Tub) Andrews of Lena, IL, along with his grandchildren: Tasha Dyson, Derik (Britt) Burris, Amber Kness, Josh (Megan), Jacob and Sarah (Talal) Andrews, Jordan Kostenbader, Ella and Kendall Kness, Bailey and Hanna Kness, and six great-grandchildren.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Cecil Kness, father and mother-in-law Siefert and Dorothy Fischer, brother and sister-in-law LeRoy and Helen Fischer, and daughter-in-law Cathie Kness.

A visitation will be held on Monday December 20, 2021, from 10AM – 11AM, at the Schwarz Park Blvd Chapel, 608 S. Park Blvd in Freeport, IL. Funeral service will follow at 11AM at the chapel for family and friends. Interment at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
