Keith Gordon Kleckler, born on October 18, 1949, in Freeport, Illinois, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2026, in McConnell, Illinois. He was 76 years old. Keith was the beloved son of the late Kenneth and Iola Kleckler. He grew up in Illinois and carried a deep sense of duty and patriotism throughout his life. As a young man, Keith answered the call to serve his country with honor as a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam War. His service exemplified his courage and dedication.

Keith was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Patricia Kleckler; his parents; and his brother, Duane Mellentine. Together with Patricia, Keith built a loving family that became the cornerstone of his life.

He is survived by his four sons: Jamey (Tiffany) Kleckler, Brian (Stacey) Kleckler, Kade (Marissa Guzman) Kleckler, and Doug (Julia Rainwater) Kleckler. Keith's legacy continues through his grandchildren: Tanner (Kim) Kleckler, Gavin (Schylar) Kleckler, Riley (Seth Palmer) Kleckler, Carter (Hanna) Kleckler, Kenzi Kleckler, Maximus Kleckler, and Kolton Kleckler. He also leaves behind three great-grandsons who brought him immense joy.

A Celebration of Life for Keith and his late wife, Pat will be held on May 30, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the McConnell Legion 203 W Main Street, McConnell IL
