Kathleen Hancock, 99, of Orangeville, IL, passed away on December 8, 2022. She was born on August 22, 1923 in Cedarville, IL, to John and Mattie (DeVries) Christen. She graduated from Freeport High School in 1941 and later, worked at Economy Fire & Casualty Co. On March 22, 1941, she married Charles Hancock at Embury Methodist Church in Freeport. They were married 56 years. Charles would pass away on June 13, 1998.

Survivors include 3 sons: Charles, Jr. of Orangeville, IL, John (LeeAnn) of Lombard, IL, and Jim (Barb) of Sycamore, IL; 1 sister Jeanette of Davenport, IA, daughter Cynthia (Wayne) of Broken Arrow, OK, 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, mother and father, sister Irene, brother Leonard, and son David.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday December 13, 2022 at 1 PM, with visitation from 10 AM until 12 noon, at the Orangeville United Methodist Church, 111 S. East St. In Orangeville, IL. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport.
