Justin L. Niesman, 40, of Stockton, IL, passed away on December 20th, 2025, at home peacefully in his sleep. He was born on June 12th, 1985, in Freeport, IL, to Jeffery A. Niesman and Midge L. Tessendorf. He attended Dakota schools and later worked general construction.

Survivors include his father Jeffery A. Niesman (Lyn), Mother Midge L. Tessendorf, sons: Landyn L. Niesman and Kian F. Niesman; fiancée Haley D. Thrasher, brothers: Josh M. Niesman (Lauren) and Nick R. Niesman (Bailey); and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Also surviving are best friends Dustin McKee and Duddy Jacobs.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fredrick and Shirley Niesman, stepfather (dad) Edward H. Tessendorf, Uncle Mark Moore, and other beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.

Justin was a terrific father and his greatest joy in life was spending time with his boys, Landyn and Kian, fishing, swimming, boating, mushroom hunting, and teaching them about the great outdoors. His fiancée, Haley Thrasher, was the true love of his life. Justin loved spending time with his brother Josh at their grandfather's favorite fishing spot in Hanover on the Apple River. Also, his time was spent helping Josh process his deer for many, many cookouts. Other special times were spent with his brother Nick and his nephew Cooper. He enjoyed spending time with Dustin, Skylynn, and his boys fishing, boating, and crawdad hunting. In his younger years, he enjoyed BMX racing with his childhood friend Duddy.

A visitation will be held on Saturday January 17, 2026, from 1 PM - 3 PM, at the Schwarz Park Blvd Chapel, 608 S. Park Blvd in Freeport, IL.
A memorial fund has been established in lieu of flowers. In honoring Justin's wishes, please do not send flowers.
