Pickard
Apr 2, 1962 — Sep 27, 2025
Julie Anne Pickard, 63, of Pearl City, IL, passed away on September 27, 2025 at UW Hospital in Madison. She was born on April 2, 1962 in Freeport, IL, to Richard and Wilma (McCall) Schneider. She married Dwight Pickard on May 29, 1982 in Lena, IL. She was a bookkeeper for Goldmine Transfer and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband Dwight Pickard of Pearl City, children: Andrew (Josephine) Pickard of Pearl City, Ethan (Madison) Pickard of Pearl City, and Katelyn (Chris) Williams of Elizabeth; grandchildren: Aubrianna, Cora, Hudson, Cadence, Preslee, Baby Williams due in February; and her sisters: Connie Williams and Vickie Lierman.
She was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Wilma Schneider, in laws Lawrence and Donna Pickard, sister-in-law Joyce Bettendorf, and many beloved furry pets.
Julie loved spending time with her family more than anything. Julie enjoyed spending lots of time with her beloved husband, Dwight, on their boat in Eagle River on Duck Lake. She loved watching for loons and going on Sunday drives. During her time at home, she loved baking desserts, watching TV Land, reading books and snuggling with her grandchildren in her rocking chair. She had an indescribable love for her family and pets.
The holidays were her favorite time of year when she could use her "good china". She looked forward to Thanksgiving feasts and going to pick up the Christmas tree the Saturday after. She loved decorating the Christmas tree and making Dwight mount the giant wreath to the house. She loved baking and frosting sugar cookies and singing traditional Christmas music. She enjoyed going on drives to see the Christmas lights and made Christmas magical for everyone around her.
Her husband and kids will miss her love, constant phone calls, support at their events, and weekend shopping trips. They loved her more than anything and will miss her forever.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 19, 2025, from 1 PM - 3 PM, at 14292 West Goldmine Rd in Pearl City, IL.
