Julie Ann Kloepfer, age 55 of Martintown, WI passed away Monday, December 13, 2021 at Monroe Clinic Hospital surrounded by her family after a long and courageous battle with covid. She was born February 11, 1966 in Evanston, IL the daughter of William and Isabel (Griffin) Striblen. Julie grew up in Northbrook, IL and graduated from Glenbrook North High School in 1984. In 1988, Julie met the love of her life, Thomas Kloepfer, and they settled in Woodford, WI. They were united in marriage on August 23, 1997. In 1998, they moved to their home in Martintown, WI where they raised their three daughters. Being a mother to her three girls was Julie's proudest accomplishment. Later in life, she found her passion caring for others. For the past decade, she worked in the medical field; her most recent position was caring for her "family" at Graceland Manor in Monroe, WI.
Julie is survived by her husband: Tom and little dog Maggie at home; one brother: Steven Striblen of Chicago, IL; two sisters: Susan Barnes and Nancy Striblen of Wheeling, IL; three daughters: Kimberly (Christopher, Blake, Mikinly, and Loretta) Moellers of South Wayne, WI, Nicole (Andrew) Thiher of Hillsboro, OR, and Brittany (Nikko Hauri) Kloepfer of Shullsburg, WI; 5 step-children; 17 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Julie was proceeded in death by her parents: William and Isabel (Griffen) Striblen; one brother: David Striblen; and sister-in-law: Dorothy Striblen.
Julie had a smile that could light up a room, an infectious giggle, and a love for music (especially Ozzy Osbourne). A celebration of life will be held at Route 20 in Freeport, IL on Saturday, December 18 at 12:00 – 3:45 PM.
The family would like to thank the Monroe Clinic Hospital ICU team for their excellent care through this difficult time.
