Joshua "Josh" S. Gums, 38, of Freeport, IL, passed away on January 13, 2026 in Freeport. He was born on March 25, 1987 at FHN Hospital in Freeport, IL. He attended Lena Winslow High School and later worked as a handyman.

Survivors include his parents: Trisha & Michael Siegmeier, fiancée Amanda Lilly, stepson Landon Miller, sister Destiny Venditti, son Brady, daughter Braelyn, aunts: Marjorie (Craig) Bower, Wendy (Craig) Kubatzke, Wanda Gums, Lori (Rip) Huenefeld, Elizabeth (Juan) Martinez, and Jody (Gene) Diestelmeier; many loving cousins, special bond cousins: Cody (Mariah) Kaiser, Megan (Tae) Kaiser, Cindy Jogerst, and Tara Gums.

He was preceded in death by grandma & grandpa Gums, grandma Betty, father Paul Venditti, uncle William Gums, aunts: Angie Jogerst and Suzette Gums, and step grandma Sandra Haefner.

A visitation will be held on Saturday January 24, 2026, from 11 AM to 1 PM, followed by a memorial service at 1 PM, at the Schwarz Park Blvd Chapel, 608 S. Park Blvd in Freeport, IL.
