Joseph Lawrence Kelley, 88, of Freeport, IL, passed away on January 12, 2021 in Rockford, IL. He was born on July 31, 1932 in Janesville, WI, to Joseph Francis and Cecelia Eleanor (Richdorf) Kelley. He married Mary Rosalie Walsh on June 11, 1960 at St. Mary Magdalene Church in Johnson Creek, WI. He worked as a Lab Cytotechnologist. He was a member and reader at St. Mary's Church. Organizations include the Northern Illinois Cancer Society, YMCA Tennis Club, and Senior Olympics.

Survivors include his children: Patti (Larry) Heck, Kevin (Brooke) Kelley, Maureen (Tom) Acker, and Mollie (Jeff) Burd; 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Rosalie Kelley; father, Joseph Francis Kelley; mother, Cecelia Eleanor Kelley; and loving sister, Patsy Kelley.

A private funeral service will be held for immediate family, with Inurnment at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. A memorial has been established for the Lewy Body Dementia Association. www.lbda.org
