Jon Alan Walton, 68, of Freeport, IL, passed away on May 8, 2021 in Madison, WI. He was born on January 24, 1953 in Freeport, IL, to Lloyd Earl and Marilyn (Gibler) Walton.

He was a graduate of Pecatonica High School and would later serve 4 years in the Marine Corps, with Honorable Discharge as Sgt E-5. He married Tonya Hamilton on January 1, 1977 in Rockford, IL. He was a general manager at a machine shop.

Survivors include his wife Tonya Walton, granddaughter Miranda (Justin) Curler, great-granddaughter Gracie Curler, 2 grandsons: Quinn and Roland Culer; sister Sue Martin, and brother Richard Walton, all of Freeport; and many other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother Marilyn Walton, father Earl Walton, and brother-in-law Steve Martin.
