John G. Winters, 54, of Freeport, IL, passed away on June 12, 2021, at home. He was born on February 7, 1967, in Freeport to Wilbur and Helen (Diddens) Winters. He attended Freeport High School and on May 26, 1995, married Melissa Witt. He worked in landscaping and was a Jack of all trades.

Survivors include his Wife Melissa Winters, Daughters: Tawney (Travis) Arnold and Tylan Winters; Mother Helen Winters, Sisters: Dena (Al) Klentz, Myra (Bob) Manning, Janet Wunschel, and Betsy (Mike) George; Brother Mark (Gracie) Winters, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Wilbur Winters.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday June 16, 2021, from 5PM – 7PM, at the Schwarz Park Blvd Chapel, 608 S. Park Blvd, in Freeport, IL. A memorial service will be held on Thursday June 17, 2021, at 11 AM, also at Schwarz Park Blvd Chapel, with Rev. Mike George officiating. Interment  at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport. Cremation rites have been accorded. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
