John Wilbourn, 54, of Freeport, IL, passed away at home on November 21, 2025. He was born on January 29, 1971 in Chicago, IL, to John Wilbourn and Shirley Wilbourn. He was a 1990 graduate and married Denise Greenfield on May 31, 2025. He was a Muslim and worked in maintenance / sanitation.

Survivors include his wife Denise Wilbourn, brother Terry (Renée) Davis, sisters: Sharese Wilbourn, Adren Wilbourn, Jacqueline (Jerry) Lott, Loisha, Khalilah, and Khadijah; Children: Jasmine, Shanice, D'Angelo (Krystal), Damario, Angelika, and Jawon; Grandkids: Terell, Jakirra, Jacarri, Charity, Braylen, Stormy, Haven and DaMario; sisters-in-law: Dawn Schaible, Tonya (Scott) Wernet, and Sarah Kraai; brother-in-law Robbie (Shirley) Fisher, father-in-law Dennis (Cathy) Greenfield, a host of nieces and nephews, and his God family the Matthews.

He was preceded in death by his mother Shirley Wilbourn, father John Wilbourn, and sister Wonna James.

A visitation will be held on Sunday November 30, 2025, from 1PM – 4PM, at the Schwarz Park Blvd Chapel, 608 S. Park Blvd in Freeport.
