John (Doc) Schwingle, 69, of Freeport, IL, passed away on June 6, 2023. He was born on April 25, 1954 in Madison, WI, to Marvin and Mable (Ray) Schwingle. He was a member of The Bridge Church in Freeport.

Survivors include his daughter Kristin Schwingle of Madison, WI, and brother Jim Schwingle of New Mexico.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday July 2, 2023 at 1 PM, at The Bridge Church, 1 E. Stephenson St in Freeport, with Pastor Fred Woodruff officiating. Cremation rites have been accorded.
