John W. Schneider, 95, of Lanark, IL, passed away on September 17, 2021 at Allure of Mount Carroll. He was born on August 23, 1926 in Carroll County, to E. Kenneth Schneider and Gladys Campbell. He married Jane Disher, and would later marry Shirley Schneider. He was a farmer, road commissioner, and deputy sheriff. He also had a love of International Tractors and Fords.

Survivors include his children: Paula Claeys, LaVonneda (Spencer) Haas, and Christopher (Pat) Schneider; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wives.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday September 21, 2021 at 2 PM, with visitation at 12 noon until time of service, at the Russell-Frank Funeral Home, 111 N. High St in Lanark, IL. Interment in Lanark Cemetery. A memorial has been established in his memory.
