Joan D. Larson, 97, of Freeport, IL, passed away on August 1, 2022. She was born on October 23, 1924 in Freeport, to John C. and Olga (Tappe) Hagedorn. She was a graduate of Freeport High School. She was a Secretary/Clerk for Micro Switch. She was a member of St. Joseph Church in Freeport. Organizations included Freeport Woman's Club, Friends Forever Humane Society, FHN Volunteer, Prairie Land Doll Club, and Stephenson County Home Extension.

Survivors include her granddaughter Kelly Rose of Seattle, WA, and Daughter-In-Law Rebecca Larson of California.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Walter J. Larson, and daughter Suzanne M. Mansheim.

A funeral mass will be held on Monday August 8, 2022 at 11 AM, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Freeport, with Fr. Robert Camacho officiating. Friends may call at the church at 10 AM. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Freeport.
