Jerold "Jerry" I. Meier, 76, of Freeport, IL, passed away on December 11, 2020 at FHN. He was born on October 27, 1944 at St. Francis Hospital in Freeport, to Carl George Meier and Marion (Lausch) Meier. He married Sue Endress in May of 1966, and would later marry Pam Stauffer in January of 1981. He worked at Kelly Springfield Tire Company and was a member of Local Union 745.

Survivors include his son Randall (Andrea) Meier, sister Sue Heck, sister Ida Meier, granddaughter Laura Meier (Jesus Nipple), grandson Dustin (Kim) Meier), granddaughter Doria (Jarret) McNett, stepson Glen Stauffer, stepdaughter Stacy Stauffer, and 6 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, infant sister, son Michael Meier, granddaughter Brandi Meier, grandson Andrew Meier, and stepson Paul Stauffer.

Private graveside service will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
