Jeremy Kendall, 42, of Hayward, California passed away on Monday April 21, 2025. Born in December 1982 in Freeport, Illinois, Jeremy was a husband, father, VFX artist, and weekend racecar enthusiast.

Jeremy graduated Freeport Senior High School and earned a bachelor's degree from the Illinois Institute of Art Schaumburg. He worked as a senior VFX artist in the video game industry. He was well known in the VFX industry for his creative problem solving and his ability to share his knowledge with his colleagues.

Jeremy is survived by his wife Rebecca, his son Mason, his daughter Riley, his father Robert (Melissa) Ehrler, his mother Tracee (Jerry) Keeney, his sisters Ashley (Brown) Pfarr and Arielle Keeney, his grandfather Robert (Norine) Ehrler, his grandmother Kay Brown, several step siblings: Mike (Vicky), Christopher, and Mark Keeney, along with Morgan and Cheyenne Hockman, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Jeremy was preceded in death by his grandfather Joe Kendall Jr., his grandmother Lorraine Kendall, his grandfather Charlie Brown, step-grandparents Gerald and Sandra Keeney, and his uncle Joe Kendall III.

There will be a memorial for friends and family August 9th at the Park Hills Evangelical Free Church at 2525 W Stephenson St., Freeport, Illinois with visitation at 1:00 and service at 2:00.
