Jean Ann Greene passed away 3-19-2022, in Des Moines, IA. She was born 2-6-35, in Freeport, IL, at St. Francis Hospital, to parents LaVerne and Bertha West. Jean was very proud of being a Norwegian. She had been married for 48 years to Thomas Greene, of Freeport.

Her relatives are a daughter, Toni (Scott) Ditsworth, of Des Moines, IA, Granddaughters: Jennifer (Robert) Sprague, of Johnstown, CO, Alisha Ditsworth of Freeport IL, Great Grandchildren: Trenton Sprague of Cheyenne WY, Brian Tice of Johnstown, CO, Elyssa Sprague of Loveland, CO, Nicanor Tice of Loveland, CO, Quintilius Tice of Windsor, CO, Isaiah Sprague of Johnstown, CO, and Joseph Sprague of Johnstown, CO. Great-Great Granddaughters: Rayvyn Sprague of Cheyenne, WY, Amelia Tice of Loveland, Co, and Hayleigh Sprague of Cheyenne, WY. Jean was preceded in death by her parents LaVerne and Bertha West, her husband Thomas Greene, her sister Betty Penticoff, and a daughter, Cherry Greene.

She enjoyed 34 years of employment at Honeywell. She enjoyed traveling with her or her many friends. She worshiped in First Lutheran Church, in Freeport. Her favorite association that she was a member of was "American Business Association". In 1990 she was voted Woman of the year. She loved her Red Hat Group, line dancing, eating out, and playing bingo. She volunteered for the Senior Center, helping members with their taxes. She was also the Secretary for her Condo Association. She enjoyed and lived a very full life.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday March 24, 2022 at 12 noon, with visitation from 11 AM until time of service, at the Schwarz Park Blvd Chapel, 608 S. Park Blvd in Freeport, IL. Interment at Oakland Cemetery in Freeport.
