Jayden Ferguson, 17, of Freeport, IL, passed away on November 11, 2024. He was born on July 25, 2007, to Erric Fergusson and the late Carmen Brown – Ferguson. He was senior at Freeport High School, and a member of Evangelistic COGIC of Freeport, IL.

Survivors include his father, Erric Ferguson, brother Deverron Ferguson, sister Alexis Ferguson, grandmother Ida Turner, aunts: Sharetha Ferguson, Ladonna Ferguson, Nichola Ferguson, Maurica Ferguson, Genie Brown, Renaye Turner, and Rachell Turner; uncles: Camron Ferguson, Maurice Ferguson, Joey Brown, Mike Brown, and Camreise Turner.

He was preceded in death by his mother Carmen Ferguson, grandmother Carmen Brown, grandparents Pastell Newby and Gary Newby, grandfathers Lee Carl Turner and Clarence Brown, aunt Rachel Turner, great aunt Emma Gulley, uncles Richard Spotts and Nathan Spotts, special friends: Monica Kuelling, Alexis Kuelling, Zachary Saeger, and Hannah Veer; aunt Shanika Triplett, and a host of cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Friday November 22, 2024 at 1 PM, with visitation at 12 noon, at Evangelistic COGIC, 440 S. Benton Ave in Freeport, IL. Eulogy by Pastor Adron Simmons. Interment at Freeport City Cemetery.
