Janice Pauline Kerr, 91, of Freeport, IL, passed away on Friday July 15, 2022 at home surrounded by family. She was born on December 14, 1930, in Harvard, IL to Eiler and Edna (Sipperly) Rosenwinge. She married Richard Kerr on November 18, 1950, at First Lutheran Church in Freeport. They were married for 70 years. She worked at raising 7 children, boy scout leader, phone Co, Freeport School District (lunchroom and teacher's aide) and bus monitor.

Survivors include 7 children: Jim (Lisa) Kerr of Freeport, Don (Cindy) Kerr of Minooka, IL, Kathy (Don) Carpenter of Browntown, WI, Ann Plum of Freeport, Sue (Steve) Hubb of Freeport, Deb (Mark) Thruman of Alabama, and Billy Kerr of Freeport; 21 grandkids, 48 great-grandkids, and 3 great-great-grandkids, with one due in October.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard, in-laws, 3 grandchildren, 2 brothers and 4 sisters.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday August 2, 2022, at 11 AM at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport. A gathering will follow at 12 noon at 521 Evelyn St.
