James P. McGee, 74, died on June 13, 2022 at FHN Hospital, following an extended illness from cancer. Jim was born in Morgantown, WV, on February 29, 1948. Jim served in the Army during Vietnam, December 1967 to December 1968. He received the Army Commendation Medal for Heroism. Jim married Gertrude Wodarczyk on April 15, 1994. She preceded him in death on January 30, 2006. Jim worked at Elmhurst Hospital in the lab and worked in Real Estate. He enjoyed fishing, playing Yahtzee, and bingo.

He is survived by one son Tony, two sisters: Laura Rabey of Freeport, and Barbara (Gerlad) Rothchild of Florida; two brothers: Frank McGee of Freeport and John (Janet) McGee of Freeport; and several nieces and nephews.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Roxy and Mary McGee, wife Gertrude, one sister-in-law Shirley McGee, one brother-in-law Donald Rabey, and special friend Linda Comeau.

Jim will be missed by family and friends.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
