Ilona Russell, 71, of Clermont, FL, passed away on July 25, 2020, at Cornerstone Hospice House in Clermont, FL. She was born on February 9, 1949 in Berlin Germany to Willi and Herta (Heinrichs) Pioch. She immigrated to the U.S. at 2 ½ years of age. She was raised in Algonquin, IL, and would later attend Woodstock Marian High School and graduate in 1967. She attended Swedish American Hospital School of Nursing. She began her career as an RN at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, IL in 1970. She would retire in 2003 and move to Clermont, FL.

Survivors include her husband Roger T. Russell of Clermont, FL; 3 children: Blair Russell of Clermont, FL, Tiffany Russell of Park City, KS, and Elizabeth (Jason Sweet) Russell of Rockford, IL; grandchildren: twins Blake and Connor Rybarczyk, Max Logan and Mason Sweet; sister-in-law Jo Ann (Russell) Holland of The Villages, FL; brother-in-law Donald Russell of Freeport, IL; and special friend since childhood, Meg Myalls.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
