Harry Pera, Jr., 73, of Freeport, IL, passed away March 9, 2022 at New Glarus Nursing Home. He was born June 1, 1948 in Rockford, IL, to Harry Pera, Sr. and Jeannette (Baker) Pera. He was a graduate of Freeport High School. He worked on the Freeport Street Department and Railroad. He served in the US Army in Vietnam. He was a member of St. Mary's Church in Freeport.

Survivors include his son Harry Pera III, brother John Pera, and sister Anne Dey.

He was preceded in death by his wife Eve Pera, and his mother and father.

A visitation will be held on Monday March 14, 2022, from 5PM - 7PM, at the Schwarz Park Blvd Chapel, 608 S. Park Blvd in Freeport, IL. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday March 15, 2022, at 11 AM, also at the Chapel. Interment at Calvary Cemetery in Freeport.
