Glenn Richard (Dick) Broge, 93, of Freeport, IL, passed away on July 1, 2021. He was born on September 29, 1927, in Waddams Grove, IL, to Lester and Margaret (Tieman) Broge. He married Nancy Crouse on January 22, 1950. Glenn and Nancy farmed in the Winslow and Freeport area.

Survivors include his wife Nancy, children: Diane (George) Walz, Douglas (Jeri) Broge, and Donna Mellen…all of Freeport, grandchildren: Tim (Nicole) Broge, Kristine (Anthony) Coon, Jerome Broge, Kevin (Kristi) Walz, Lisa (Nick) Thompson, Ross (Ashley) Mellen, Paige (Kameron) Mellen, and Brooke Mellen, 13 great-grandchildren, and a sister Ruth Kleckner.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Dennis, grandson Daniel, brother Donald Broge, and sister Glenda Yeager.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday July 6, 2021 at 11 AM, with visitation from 9 AM until time of service, at the Cedarville United Methodist Church, 600 W. Washington St, in Cedarville, IL.

A memorial has been established in his name.
