George E. Krieger, 90, of Freeport, IL, passed away on July 27, 2022. He was born on January 30, 1932, in Freeport, to Calvin and Clara (Knopf) Krieger. He was a Navy Veteran and employed by the U.S. Army. He was employed as a draftsman. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include his brother Art (Janet) Krieger of Belvidere, IL, 5 nephews, 2 nieces, and family friend Linda Larry.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Clara Krieger, siblings: Betty, Donald (Barb), and Mary; and nephew Joseph.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday August 3, 2022, from 10AM – 11AM, at Schwarz Park Blvd Chapel, 608 S. Park Blvd in Freeport. Graveside service will follow at 11:30 AM, at Calvary Cemetery in Freeport.
