Gary Lee Williams, 65, of Freeport, IL, passed away on April 12, 2023 at home. He was born on December 23, 1957 in Freeport, to Dale and Elaine (Shippy) Williams. He attended Freeport School District and was a forklift operator at Snak King since 2008.

Survivors include his daughter Jenna (Josh) Nelson of Escanaba, MI, grandchildren: Kailey, Kaden, and Karlee Nelson of Escanaba, MI; sisters: Cynthia Williams Lowther of Freeport, IL, Lisa (Robin) Costa of Houston, TX, and Lori Williams of Freeport, IL; brother-in-law Allen Stubben of Freeport, IL, aunt Corrine Vittum, nieces and nephews: Robert (Deanna) Maguire of Minnesota, Paul (Malorie) Maguire of Streamwood, IL, Jason Stubben of Freeport, IL, Jacqueline (Corey) Williams of Freeport, IL, Angelique Avila of Lake Island, IL, and Michelle MacAdam of Denver, CO.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Elaine Shippy Williams, father, Dale Williams, sisters: Pamela Stubben of Freeport, IL, and Colleen & Rob Maguire of Glendale Heights, IL; uncle Roy & Violet Heim, nephew Allen J. Stubben of Myrtle Beach, SC.

Memorial service will be held on Sunday April 16, 2023 at 7PM, with visitation from 4PM until time of service, at the Schwarz Park Blvd Chapel, 608 S. Park Blvd in Freeport, IL. Rev. Ted Michalsen will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in his memory.
