Gary E. Polhill, 84, passed away on October 24, 2021. He was born August 6, 1937 in Freeport, IL, to L. Earl and Gladys I. (Ditzler) Polhill. In 1955, he escaped from Pearl City High School, served in the U.S.A.F. and spent over 40 years in the graphic arts industry. In 1961, he was married to Donna Jean Neely and they produced two daughters, Wendy Sue (Brad) Gusloff and Terri Jean (Rex) Rogers.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Donna Lee Farwell, and a brother (best friend) Arnold K. Polhill.

He is survived by his daughters and four grandchildren: Caleb Gusloff, Graham Gusloff, Rachel Rogers, Alexis (Mitchell) Kortemeier; and great-grandson Jaxon Klaus.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday October 30, 2021 at 2 PM, with visitation from 12 noon until time of service, at the Schwarz Park Blvd Chapel, 608 S. Park Blvd in Freeport, IL. Chaplain Sean Huguenin will officiate. A brief service will follow afterwards at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A special thanks to Manor Court of Liberty Village and FHN Hospice. A memorial has been established in his memory.
