Frankie Mae Stuggis-Fleming was born August 15, 1962, in Morehead, MS to Frank and Lillie Stuggis. She later moved to Chicago, IL with her parents and four siblings. Frankie accepted Christ in her life at an early age. She graduated from Dunbar High School in 1980. She completed some college courses and completed multiple certifications. She always dreamed of becoming a seamstress.
While living in Chicago, IL, she found her mate Jerome Fleming Sr. In 1992, they decided to get married. Amongst the both of them they had three children. Frankie loved being around people. She was a caring person and would give her last to help someone. Frankie loved a good laugh and always kept a smile on her face. While living in Chicago, Frankie worked for South Shore Hospital as an Advocate.
Frankie moved to Freeport, IL in 2011, so the family could be closer in her time of need. When she started getting sick from her illness, she continued to be around people and smile despite how she felt on the inside. She loved being around her grandchildren.
Frankie is survived by her two children, Ayanna (Charles) Bailey-Walker of Port Huron, Michigan and Jerome Fleming Jr. of Chicago, IL. her three grandchildren Christian Walker, Egypt Fleming, and Cherish Walker. Her two sisters Diane (Cuber) Thames of Freeport, IL and Zennetta (Edwin) Stuggis of Minnesota. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by; her parents Frank and Lillie Stuggis, husband Jerome Fleming Sr., her son Maurice Bailey Jr., and two sisters Audrey Wright and Sytonia Stuggis.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday March 4, 2023 at 11 AM, with visitation at 10 AM, at Faith Center Freeport, 203 W. Pleasant St. in Freeport. Interment at Freeport City Cemetery.
