Flynn Forest Fox of Rockford, IL (formerly of Riverside, CA and Lanark, IL) passed away June 27, 2025. Flynn had dealt with a series of health setbacks over the past several months exploring all treatments before returning home in May.

Flynn was born October 24, 1960 in Freeport, IL. Flynn was Baptized and Confirmed in faith at Trinity Lutheran Church, Mt. Carroll, IL where he was a life-long member. Lanark was Flynn's cherished childhood home where he attended grades K-12. Flynn then attended Highland Community College in Freeport, IL graduating with an associate's degree in computer science. From there Flynn attended Rockford College where he established life-long friends. Flynn graduated in May 1985 with a Bachelor of Science degree in business.

Following graduation, Flynn worked as a Business Analyst for ARM in Lincolnwood, IL. It was here that Flynn discovered his passion for Human Resources. He earned his SHRM Certificate at the Senior level. Flynn's HR career began at Lowe's in Dekalb, IL leading him to relocate to Riverside, CA. Flynn's move to California established more life-long friends during his career with Lowe's. In the early 2010s, Flynn returned to Illinois as a caregiver for family and renewed his Midwest friendships.

Flynn was a devoted son, brother, nephew, grandson, "uncle", and friend. He was always first to respond when a friend or family member was in need. He will be deeply missed by his close-knit friend group.

Flynn was predeceased by his parents, Floren Forest Fox and Agnes Amling Fox, sister Anita L. Fox, grandparents Floren and Nancy (Taggart) Fox, grandparents Rudolph and Agnes (Kuhlman) Amling, aunt Velma G. Amling and aunt Shirley Fox Lego.

Services for Flynn will be at Russell Frank Funeral Home, 111 High Street, Lanark, IL on Saturday, July 12th, 2025. The Reverend Brian E. Efferding of Lake Worth, FL will officiate his Christian Service. Visitation will be from 10 am with service to follow at 11 am. Attendees are invited to enjoy lunch at Manny's, Savanna, IL after.
