Eleanor Dailey, 84, of Cedarville, IL, passed away on August 7, 2026. She was born on September 26, 1941, in Freeport, to George and Verda (Homan) Fryer. She married Harry Dailey on July 31, 1964 in Freeport. She worked as a nurse at Freeport Memorial Hospital before retiring.

Survivors include her daughter Connie Janicke, sons: Harry Dailey and Richard Dailey; stepdaughter Debbie Wenger, sister Peggy (Larry) Stamm, grandchildren: Heather (Brian) Sweigert, Nick Ruthe, Craig (Sarah) Dailey, Kyle Dailey, Harry Dailey, Savannah Dailey, Sierra Dailey, Nicole (Rick) McDaniel, Ashley (Tony) Gonzales, and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by parents, George and Verda Fryer, husband Harry Dailey, and grandson Adam Smith.

A visitation will be held on Friday August 21, 2026, from 11 AM - 12:30 PM, followed by funeral service, at the Schwarz Park Blvd Chapel, 608 S. Park Blvd in Freeport. Pastor Tim Wauchope will officiate. Interment to follow at Oakland Cemetery in Freeport.
