With hearts full of loving memories, we announce the peacefull passing of Eileen Marie Kuehl, age 91, of Freeport, Illinois, on March 11, 2025.
She was born on April 5, 1933, to Edward Thomas Tangney and Indamore (Bennette) Cox in Chicago, Illinois. She graduated from Amundsen High School in Chicago and went to St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing in Freeport. In December 1954, Eileen and Ronald Kuehl began a 33-year marriage, during which they raised four children.
Eileen's life was a testament to her unwavering devotion to her beloved family, career, and faith. Her dedication to helping others led to her nursing career at St. Clare Hospital in Monroe, a journey made possible by the support of her husband, who lovingly nurtured their home. In her well-deserved retirement, Eileen found joy and created treasured memories at Tuck-a-way Campground, surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and dear friends. For the past four years, Eileen resided at Liberty Village in the memory care unit., where her vibrant spirit kept the loving staff constantly entertained.
She is survived by her daughters: Mary (Terry) Tregloan and Janeen (Steve) Moest, both of Monroe, WI; sons: Harry Kuehl of Mondovi, WI, and Ronnie Kuehl (Traci Genz) of Madison, WI; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She now joins in eternal peace her beloved husband Ronald Kuehl, parents Edward Tangney & Indamore Cox, sister Patricia Parker, brother-in-law Terry Kuehl, and great grandson Stetson Moest.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
