On Monday May 23,2022, Edward H (Butch, Tess) Tessendorf passed away at home surrounded by his loving wife and family after a short battle with cancer. He was born in Freeport IL to loving parents Howard and Genevieve (Brown) Tessendorf.
He grew up in Pearl City IL. He worked at his dad's welding shop, also worked for many years at Thermos, which he left briefly when he moved to Florida, he later returned to Thermos where he later retired from. He married the love of his life Midge (Moore) on January 27, 1995.
He enjoyed painting, carving, fishing and spending time with nature. He enjoyed teasing his wife and family with his Tarantula's. He was a jokester and enjoyed making people laugh. He loved spending time with his soulmate (the love of his life Brown Eyes), also spending time with his kids. He also had a special bond with his 4-legged companion "Annabelle". But his greatest joy was spending time with his grandkids.
He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years Midge, as well as 2 daughters Kathy (Jeff) Williams, Katie (Jason) Teriviel-Rick, 4 sons Kelly (Pinij) Tessendorf, Josh (fiancé Lauren) Niesman, Justin (fiancé Haley) Niesman, Nick girlfriend Bailey Niesman. Brothers Jim (Lucy) Tessendorf, Mike (Tammy) Tessendorf, Larry (Cindy) Tessendorf, Terry Neal Tessendorf. And grandkids Larry Jr (Ashley) Mesch, Tiffany (Davon) Hines, Wyatt, Hailey, Noel, Carmela, Aspen, Masen, Cassie, Kellyna, Landyn, Kian. As well as many nieces and nephews and many great grandkids.
He is preceded in death by his loving parents Howard, Genevieve (Brown) Tessendorf and granddaughter Autumn Rick.
The family would like to thank FHN Hospice team for all their care and support. Also, Chaplain Jeremy for his prayers and support.
There will be a private Celebration of Life at a later time
