Dorothy Jean Holloway, 81, of Freeport, IL, passed away on November 25, 2021 at Ascension Saint Joseph Village. She was born on September 20, 1940 in Ruleville, MS, to James Holloway and Amanda B. Walker. She attended Ruleville School District. She worked at Thermos, Structo in Freeport for 20+ years, and a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Freeport.

Survivors include her daughter Sandra of Las Vegas, NV, Alexander (Delores), Jackie (Sadie), Maurice (Heather), Anthony (Tracee) Holloway, all of Freeport, and Ricky (Diane) Holloway of Rockford, IL; 8 brothers: Eddie, Robert Lee, Willie Lee, Augusta of Freeport, and Kenneth, James, Willie, and Michael, all of St. Louis, MO; 2 sisters: Barbara of Freeport and Annie of St. Louis; and her 20 grandkids and 22 great grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, 3 siblings, and her great grandson, Davar Lee Pierson.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday December 4, 2021 at 1 PM, with visitation from 11 AM until time of service, at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 920 S. Carroll Ave, in Freeport, IL. Rev. Rickey Stidmon will officiate.
