Donna Marie Piper-McCourt (Pinkie)

1942-2024

Donna McCourt, 82, of Lena, IL, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2024 at FHN Memorial Hospital surrounded by family. Donna was born April 30, 1942 in Freeport, Illinois to Melvin and Marie (Oppold) Piper. She married Bill McCourt in 1961 and was retired from Micro Switch.

Donna was a well-adored woman who left an impact on everyone she met. She had an infectious smile and was always in high spirits. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, spending time with family, being a member of the Open Bible church, helping others and her community, and most of all, the color pink.

She is survived by her pride and joy granddaughter Allie Marie Boland of Oregon, WI. She is also survived by many relatives and friends she had considered to be family.

She was preceded in death by her parents Melvin and Marie Oppold, husband of 56 years Bill McCourt, daughters Tina Marie (McCourt) Boland, and Vallie Jo McCourt.

Donna would like to be remembered by memories and by the impact she left on others. No services will be scheduled. Friends and family are welcome to send their condolences directly to the family.
