"Grandma Dee" Dianna Lee Petersen, 75, of Lanark, IL, passed away Rock River Hospice & Home in Sterling, IL on Friday October 13th, 2023. She was born on October 25, 1947 in Green Bay, WI, to Stanley Haynes and Phyllis Buchman. She graduated from William Taft High School in Chicago, IL. She married Richard "Pete" Petersen on September 30th, 1982 in Mount Prospect, IL. She ran a daycare out of her home for over forty years until the last few years when she was a preschool bus aide. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran in Lanark, IL.

Survivors include one daughter, Heidi (Chad) Waller; seven grandchildren: Hanna Miner (Mikki Stichter), Dylan Bouvia (Ryleigh Morton), Paige, Chloe, Bodde, Oaklee, and Emerson Waller; a brother, Patrick (Malia) Haynes of Chicago, IL, a sister, Bonnie Grey of Cary, IL, many nieces and nephews, several great nieces and nephews, and a few great-great nieces and nephews.
