Diane Williams, age 59, departed this earthly life, at home, on Saturday, January 2, 2021 surrounded by family. Diane was born June 10, 1961 in Chicago, Illinois to Alfred Douglas Williams and Rosie Mae (Neasom). She is the 4th youngest of six children.
Diane accepted God and Jesus Christ as her savior in December 2020 and was led to confession
by her aunt Josie Neasom.
Diane attended Fenger high school and Charles W. Earle School in Chicago. In later years she continued her education and training at Highland Community College.
Diane nourished people around her with love, faith, and a friendly spirit; and loved spending time with family and friends.
Diane worked in several industries during her career. She worked for the late former mayor Harold Washington, H and H Upholstery and Swiss Colony Brand. Diane continued to pursue other opportunities in various fields as she loved solving business problems and always had a strong math and analytical mindset.
Diane would later start her family and had 2 beautiful daughters (Latrice and Vicky) and 2 wonderful sons (Maurice and Edward) she also helped raise her grand and great-grand children.
Left to honor Diane and remember her love are Diane's four children: Maurice Williams, Gladys (Latrice ) Brown, Eineshia Victoria (Vicky) Williams and Edward Victor Solid Jr.; five grandchildren: Corey, Curtis, Deondre, Antwonette and Anthony; three Great Grand Children: Curtis Jr., Azaelia and Ni'Layah; Siblings: Arthur Williams (Diane), Richard Williams (Terri), Bernadine Williams, Ronald Williams and Michael Williams; Uncle & Aunts: Elmore Neasom (Mary), Mattie Clark, Josie Neasom, Cassie Lewis; Other Relationals and friends: Ted, Red, Ray Charles, Ms. Betty and a host of Neices and Nephews, cousins, and other family and friends.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents, brother Ronald, and sister Bernadine. Diane will be remembered as a bright, shining light in the various communities she lived and by her family and dear friends.
Visitation Service: Friday, January 15, 2021 from 2 – 9 p.m.
Funeral service: Saturday, January 16, 2021 from 12 – 1 p.m.
