Diane G. Baxter, 76, of Leaf River, IL, passed away on Thursday November 26, 2020 at home. She was born on January 21, 1944 in Freeport, IL to Donald and Jean (Hutmacher) Folgate. She was a graduate of Orangeville High School and attended Highland College. She later married Kelly Baxter. Diane worked as a CNA, paraprofessional at Lathrop School for years, and telemarketing for the Shriners. Diane enjoyed gardening, fishing, cooking, and vacationing at the lakes every summer. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Survivors include her significant other Lonnie Havens, son Todd (Jodi) Hollis of German Valley, IL, daughters: Teresa Hollis of Rockford, IL, Tonetta (Craig) Lund of Byron, IL, Tari Hollis and son Chuckie Hartwig, both of Leaf River, IL; grandchildren: Brooklynn and Brittni Hollis, Dane Otten, Shaun James, Jacqlynn Schmidt and Brett Alexander, and Carli Hollis; brothers: Richard Folgate and Gary Folgate; and sisters: Katherine Folgate and Susan (Barry) Hartje. She was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Jean Folgate, husband Kelly Baxter, and grandparents inc. Addie Hutmacher, who lived to be 105.

A private service will be held on Thursday December 3, 2020 at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Leaf River Fire Department.
