Dennis Shade, 66, of Freeport, IL, passed away on September 1, 2025, at Ascension Living Saint Joseph Village. He was born on June 28, 1959, to Roger Shade and Joyce Simler. He married Kathy Shade on February 11, 1999. He enjoyed fishing and being a grandpa.

Survivors include his wife Kathy Shade, kids: Destiny, Patrisha, Sarah, Bobby, Chucky, Jessie, Mikey, April, Jamie, Melissa, Johnny and Talia of Freeport, Rebecca of Abingdon, VA, and Travis Shade; 37 grandkids, and 12 great-grandkids. All of them loved him very much.

He was preceded in death by his mother Joyce M. Shade, his father Roger R. Shade, and Rhonda Shade.

In honoring his wishes, no services will be held.
