Dennis Hoover, 75, passed away on January 11, 2023. He was born March 7 ^th , 1947, to Aloys and Esther (Franks) Hoover.  Dennis is preceded in death by his mother, Esther; his father, Aloys; his stepfather John Meier; his sister Donna Haas; and his four brothers William, James, Frank and Richard Hoover. He is survived by his sister, Norma White; daughters Shannon (Nick) Maurer; Emily (Jack) Stroup; grandchildren Paige, Mayson & Jace Maurer; Lily & Jackson Stroup; as well as four great grandchildren Layla, Journee, Jaylen and Major.

Denny was known and loved by many and was considered the greatest friend someone could have. He lived for his time with friends, family, and work. He loved his daily breakfasts with friends at Donut Delight, lunches with his granddaughters and his work at Frank's Car Wash in Freeport. His passing will leave a great hole in the hearts of everyone who knew him. Denny has chosen to donate his remains to medical research, but his family and friends will be hosting a celebration of life later this spring.
