David Paul Young Sr. of Cedarville, IL, passed away on the morning of Thursday July 30 ^th , 2020 at 73 years old. After a decade of battling heart failure, he passed away peacefully in his home Red Oak, IL with his beloved wife, Kristine (Tina), by his side.

David was born on April 5 ^th , 1947 at the Freeport Memorial Hospital to Oscar and Alberta Young. He grew up in Red Oak and attended Orangeville High School until he was drafted to serve in the army in Vietnam. He was a hardworking man who worked at Kelly Springfield for over 35 years. David was married to his wife of 54 years, Tina, on December 19 ^th , 1966 in Rockton, IL and was a member of the Red Oak United Methodist Church. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and his dogs. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends and the family thanks FHN hospice for their excellent care and services during this difficult time.

He is survived by his wife Kristine (Tina), his two sons David Jr. (Melinda) and Christopher (Deanna) Young; his cousin Paula (John) Raleigh; and his grandchildren Justin Young, Morgan Monigold, Kyler Young, Sydney Young, Taylor Young, Chase Young, and Evan Young. He was preceded in death by his mother, Alberta (Kausch) Young; his father, Oscar Young; and his aunt, Margaret Shewman.

Arrangements are with Schwarz Funeral Home. David's family is postponing services due to covid-19 and plans to hold a memorial in his honor in the near future. Flowers, condolences, or memorial donations can be sent to his family.
