David A. Schultz, 74, of Freeport, IL, passed away on December 30, 2025, at FHN. He was born in Cook County, IL on July 2, 1951, to Bill Tretter and Nelda Schultz (Offenheiser). He was a 1969 graduate of Pearl City High School. He married Ramona K. Boomgarden on September 18, 1971 in Freeport. He worked for 35 years at Goodyear Tire Co, and 4 years as a school bus driver.

He is survived by his wife Ramona Schultz, son Alan D. Schultz, daughter Jennifer Tanik, granddaughter Ayse Tanik, and sister Marlys Scorsolini.

He was preceded in death by his parents, in laws Marlynn & Rose Boomgarden, brother-in-law Robert Stewart, and others.

A Celebration of Life with luncheon, will be held on Saturday January 24, 2026, at 12 PM, at the Cedarville Fire Department, 245 N. Stephenson St in Cedarville, IL.
