David Michael Haas, Jr, was born on July 7, 1930, to parents David and Caroline Haas (deceased). He served in the Marine Corp from 1947-1950. He married Margaret (Schlamp) Stubben on August 10, 1974. Margie died on April 5, 2014. Dave had two stepsons: Johnny Stubben (deceased) and Allen Stubben (Pam). He was employed by Honeywell for 31 years and was a lifetime member of the VFW. Dave had a great sense of humor and loved to joke with everyone. He was very close to his cousin Joan Pickett who lives in Maryland. He resided at Stephenson Nursing Center since August of 2022. The staff and residents were very kind. He will be missed.

A private family service will be held at Oakland Cemetery and Mausoleum in Freeport.
