David Abraham Brown, 92, of Freeport, IL, passed away on October 27, 2020 at FHN. He was born on July 12, 1928 in Lena, IL, to John Imanuel and Francis (Becke) Brown. He was a graduate of Lena High School. On December 24, 1948, he married Arlene B. Reuber in Orangeville, IL.  He enjoyed gardening, puzzle books, and spending time with family.

Survivors include Elaine Christians; John R. Brown; Marsha (Stephen) Pospischil; Brian  (Lydia Slater) Brown; Kathleen DeBord; Donovan Brown; Stephen (Connie) Brown; Grandchildren: Michael Dash; Aaron Dash; Fonda Masunas; Fonda Christians; Billie Jo Christians; John R. Brown II; Chad Pospischil; Beth Ann Pospischil; Logan, Abigail, and Lindsey Brown; John (JD) DeBord; Derek and Scott Brown; and 18 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by Arlene, his wife of 70 years, parents, and daughter Susan Dash.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday October 31, 2020 at 11 AM, at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport, with Stephen Pospischil officiating. A memorial has been established for Silver Creek Church Cemetery in German Valley, IL, and St. Thomas Catholic Church in Freeport, IL.
