Danny Joe Rogers Sr. 75 of Pekin, IL, passed away on September 3, 2023 in Peoria, IL. He was born on December 14, 1947 in Mt. Carroll, IL, to Orville and Katherine Rogers (Frey). He served 23 years with Carroll County Sheriff's Department. He married Wendy Lou Kosier (Shoemaker) on December 4, 1965 in Savanna, IL. He was a member of the Cowboy Church of the Valley/Western Outreach in Santa Rosa, TX.

Survivors include Wife Wendy Rogers of Pekin, IL; brother Robert Rogers of Pekin, IL; son Danny Rogers Jr.(Tammie) of East Peoria, IL; son-in-law Leo Hatheway of Polo, IL; 6 granddaughters; 4 grandsons; 5 great granddaughters; and 4 great grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his parents Orville & Katherine Rogers; sister Betty Broshous; daughter Debra Hatheway; and 3 grandsons.

Graveside service will be held on Friday, September 8th, 2023 at 2:30 PM, at the Lanark City Cemetery in Lanark, IL, with Pastor Christopher O'Loughlin officiating.

A memorial has been established for the American Cancer Society or National Kidney Foundation

The family is planning a Celebration of Life at a later date.
