Craig Roy Vietmeyer, 65, of Mt. Carroll, IL, passed away January 13, 2022 in Sterling, IL. He was born January 8, 1957 in Freeport, IL, to Marvin and Beatrice (Grimes) Vietmeyer. He was a 1976 graduate of Lanark High School. He married Sherrie Speer on August 25, 1979 in Mt. Carroll. He was retired from the Mt. Carroll Fire Department.

Survivors include his spouse - Sherrie Vietmeyer of Mt. Carroll, son - Christopher (Amanda) Vietmeyer, daughter - Courtney Vietmeyer, granddaughter - Jayden Vietmeyer, grandson – Hunter Vietmeyer, brothers: Kevin Vietmeyer and Curt Vietmeyer; and nieces and nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a son – Patrick Vietmeyer.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday April 2, 2022, from 1PM - 4PM, at the Majestic Pines Banquet Hall, 11503 Three Mile Road, in Thomson, IL
