Clyde W. Martin, 88, passed away February 23, 2025 to be with his Heavenly Father. He was son of Walter S. Martin and Mabel B (Kloepping) Martin. He was born in Georgetown, IL on December 17, 1936. Clyde was a 1954 graduate of Lanark High. He married Edith Ann Geiseman March 28, 1959 at the First Methodist Church in Freeport.

He was admired by many of his co-workers and friends as a supervisor at Micro Switch for 40 years. One of his favorite hobbies was singing in the Barbershop Choir for 50 years. He also sang with the Freeport Choral Society. Other hobbies include his love for John Deere tractors, both large and garden varieties.

Survivors include his son William S. Martin, step daughter Debra A. Hartman, brother Gerald Martin, many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Edith Ann (Geiseman), Infant daughter Laura Sue Martin, Sisters June (Martin) Kniss, Betty (Martin) Fosdick, brother Lloyd Martin.

There will be a graveside service planned for May. A memorial fund has been established in his memory.
