Obituary

Christine Mildred Sampson was born on Tuesday, February 18, 1969 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Mr. Percy Ralph and Ms. Deborah Sampson.   She accepted Christ at an early age and attended the Redemption Church of Christ in Brooklyn, NY.

Christine graduated from Harry S. Truman High School, "Class of 1987", in the Bronx, NY.   Later she received her Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate from Highland Community College in Freeport, IL, and in 2015 she went on to receive her Associates of Arts Degree in Health & Sciences online from the University of Phoenix.  She was currently employed at home by Sedgwick Claims Management Services.

Christine leaves to cherish her memories three sons; Samuel Anthony of Superior, WI, Joel Anthony & Micquel Anthony and daughter; Asante James all of Freeport, IL.  Four beautiful grandchildren; Jakyla Victoria Anthony of Chicago, IL, Valentior Amir Anthony of Freeport, IL, Jamauld Anthony & Layla Anthony of Superior, WI.  One sister; Tammy Sampson of Richmond, VA, and one brother; Benjamin Hartsfield of Hampton, VA.

Additionally, she is also survived by six aunts; Shirley Cofield of Brooklyn, NY, Barbara Brown of Hampton, VA, Justine Marshall of New Port, VA, Jeanette Ralph of Hampton, VA, Linda Scott of Plato, MO, and Michelle Ralph of Hampton, VA, and one uncle; Richard Ralph of Hampton, VA.

Four special friends dear to her heart; Roschone Rogers of Chicago, IL, Chamika Winfrey of Atlanta, GA, Sharise Baker of Rockford, IL, and Pilar Taylor of Brooklyn, NY.   Additional dear friends in Freeport, IL called "The Crew" to include Frankie & Carl McGee, Brenda LeBlanc, Tori Walker, Shelia & Juan Portalatin, Frank Hughes, Brian Ross and Susan Euells.

Her photos tell it all!  Christine was very outgoing, a loving mother, sister and friend to all who crossed her path.  She supported every Freeport business that she could.  She loved her hometown.  Known by everyone as "THE QUEEN OF KAROAKE", she loved to sing and was loved by all who knew her.  She travels were extensive.  Her destination spots included Hawaii, Nevada, North Carolina, Florida, and the Dominican Republic, just to name a few.

Christine departed this earthly life Sunday, June 6 th , 2021 in the city of Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic.  She was loved by all her new her.  Her presence on this earth will be missed.

A tribute to honor her life will be held Saturday, June 26 th , 2021, at Schwarz Park Blvd Chapel, 608 S. Park Blvd in Freeport, IL.  There will be a Walk-Thru Visitation from 9:00 AM -11:55 AM and a Service of Remembrance from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM.  Rev. Nathan M. Whitehead will serve as the officiant & eulogist.
