Carrie Lynn Newton, 47, of Freeport, IL, passed away May 31, 2022, at home. She was born May 26, 1975, in Rockford, IL, to parents Ronald Eldon Jensen and Carol Ann Nitsch. She was a factory worker for the past 5 years.

Survivors include 3 kids: Tyler Tinnell, Chevy Newton, and Summer Newton; ex-husband Patrick Newton, Mother Carol Nitsch, 2 grandchildren: Britlee and Nathaniel Newton; sister Tina Tinnell, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Jensen, sisters: Anita and Crystal Jensen; brother, Larry Nitsch, and grandparents.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery.

Carrie loved the outdoors and animals, but more importantly, she loved her family the most. Her contagious smile brightened up the room. Her earthly family will forever grieve her loss, but we're comforted with the knowledge she now resides at peace with her Heavenly Father.
