Carolyn Koning, 88, of Freeport, IL, passed away on July 18, 2024 at Manor Court of Liberty Village. She was born in McConnell, IL on April 23, 1936, to Roy Babcock and Rachel (Pattat) Babcock. She was a 1954 graduate of Winslow High School. She married Kenneth Koning on March 19, 1960 in Freeport. She worked at Micro Switch and was a Avon Representative (1982-2017).

Survivors include her children: Maxine Pike, Eugene (Twyla) Koning, and Bonnie (Eric) Davis; grandchildren: Carrie, Eric, Kyle, Joel, Lindsey, Joshua and Liam; great-grandchildren: Matthew, Kendra, Paxton and Micah; great-great-grandchildren: Wyatt and Westyn; brother Robert Babcock of Nashville, TN, and sister Betty Gray of Freeport, IL.

She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth, son-in-law JR Pike, brothers James and Donald, and her parents.

A funeral service will be on Monday July 22, 2024 at 2 PM, with visitation from 1 PM until time of service, at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport, IL.
