Carol Lynn Stevens, 61, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2020, in Freeport, IL. surrounded by her family. She was born on January 22, 1959 in Detroit, MI. to Earl and Maryann (nee Dudde) Stevens. She was employed by Ravenswood Hospital as a CNA for a number of years. She then later obtained her Real Estate License in which she did both Mortgage Underwriting and Realty.
She had such a caring heart, truly a caregiver, not just only in her profession. She was known as "Mom" to many, a great friend and a loving and nurturing mother; you know you could always count on her being there wither is was in good or bad times. She was strong, blunt, loving, spunky, selfless, independent, down to earth, open-armed and hard worker; this list can go on. She was really good at the come-backs and jokes, she just loved to have fun; sing and dance, go shopping, gardening, crochet and watching the ID channel and '90 day Fiance.
One of her favorite sayings was, "settle down tigger."
She was surely 'one-of-a-kind' and she will be greatly missed by many.
Carol is survived by her children, Richard (Rosane) Doran, Lena (Chris) Ferraresi and Tasha (Andrew) Jaworowski; granddaughters Alicia (William) Butusov and Alyssa Brown; grandsons Benjamin Doran and Justin Brown and step-grandson Leo; great-grandchild Arya; former daughter-in-law Gabriela; siblings Benjamin Stevens and Betty (Michael) Freppon; step-siblings Steven Aaron and Nancy Aaron;
aunt to many nieces and nephews
.
She was preceded in death by her two children, Peter Allen and Mary Louise; her parents; brothers Randall and Daniel Stevens; step-mother Dolores (Waldin) Stevens; step-brothers Lenny and Kenneth Aaron.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Services will be held at a later date.
